What happened to RPG Table Finder?

RPG Table Finder was rebranded to Tabletop Wizard as when we built version 4 we added the ability to create, find and organise Board Gaming and Wargaming table groups along side roleplaying groups. And so we wanted a brand that brings all tabletop group finding together under one platform, and so Tabletop Wizard was born!

We aim to keep our game list as up to date as possible, if you have a game you want us to include, please suggest it to us under your profile or table where you select games to add.

What the best image sizes for my profile and table?

For your profile we recommend 120px x 120px in size, under 800kb

For your table we recommend 1920px x 1100px in size, under 800kb

No one is in my area

There can be a number of reasons why you may not be seeing any tables or players in your area, these can include:

Game you selected is very niche, try a more common game.

You mispelled your city, province/state

Your filters are too specific and may need to broaden.

My Request is Still Pending

If you sent a Join request, but it stays in a 'Pending' state, it means the table creator has not yet approved/declined your request.

When you send a request, we automatically send a mail to the table creator to inform them of your request, hang in there!

Pay to Play games

Currently we do not have any functionality to support finding or creating paid games, however if you want to promote a pay to play game, please indicate in the title of the table that it is a paid game, eg: [Paid Game]

We do not handle any transactions or the handling of pay to play games, and you join these tables at your own risk.

If I cancel my Boost does it stay till it expires?

Yes. Your boost will run till when it was going to be renewed, till which it will then become inactive. You will not be charged again, unless done on the date of renewal.

Will my customisations be lost when my boost expires?

No. Any customisations will remain but will not be visible, only when the boost is reactivated will they become visible again.

If I delete my account with an active boost or past boosts, will they be lost?

Yes. When you delete your account, due to various privacy and protection of data laws around the world, all your information is removed permanently including any active boosts.

I don't want the boost anymore, can I get a refund?

No. Because of the nature of the boost, all 'sales' are final and there will not be any refunds. Only in exceptional cases such as double billing or fraud will refunds be made.

I thought this platform is free? What are boosts?

Tabletop Wizard is and will always be free. As a non-boost user, you have access to all table making and join features with no limitation. Boosts are a way for us to finance the costs of the platform whilst offering some quality of life and personalisation to tables and profiles.

What are events?

Events are a way for you to organise one-off tabletop games, conventions, clubs in your area. As opposed to general table games, these are designed for multiple tables and sessions.

Im concerned about Privacy and Safety.

As with everything on the internet, you must be careful when meeting anyone you have met online. We have designed our platform to create a safe place to find tables and other tabletop gamers around the world, however because of the anonymity comes risk of potential bad actors, we advocate that when meeting a new group of tabletop gamers to meet in a public space such as a local game store or restaurant, and to bring a friend or family member with you.

Our platform does not collect any personal identifiable information (PPI) other than your e-mail address on registration which is not publically visible and is used to notify you of messages, table information and notifications. Please refrain from adding your age, gender or other personally identifiable information as we cannot protect that information.

How do I delete my account?

Under your profile, click the 'Account Settings' button, here you can delete your account by selecting the delete account button and confirming your choice with your password.

Please keep in mind, this is non-reversible as your data is immediately removed from our systems and you will have to re-register and start from scratch.

How do I change my username?

Who Created Tabletop Wizard

Tabletop Wizard, formally known as RPG Table Finder, was created by both Guy and Derrick from 'How to be a Great Game Master' with the aim of helping players find other roleplayers, and more recently all tabletop games. The platfrom is currently in its fourth iteration, and was began in 2017.
